HOW DO I JOIN?

We would like you to attend at least three meetings of the club you are considering joining. This will provide you with a better understanding of the diversity of the training activities, enable you to know how Rostrum can best help you and give you social contact with the other members.

Ask the club secretary for a membership application form, complete it and return it to the secretary with the required fee. Members will vote on your application at the next meeting of the club. You will be welcomed as a member at the meeting following your election and you will be formally introduced into membership at the earliest convenient date.

On joining, you will be asked to make a commitment to your Rostrum club that you will uphold the ideals of the club. In return, we will make a commitment to you - Rostrum will commit itself to provide the best possible service in developing you into a confident person in line with your chosen goals.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

Rostrum is surprisingly inexpensive - $30 to join and a Queensland Rostrum fee of $25 each 6 months. In addition, individual clubs usually levy a nominal fee to cover running costs, venue hire and supper. There are discounts for full time secondary and tertiary students, those on a social security pension and those aged 65 years and over.
